One of the most meaningful moments each year for Soroptimist International of South Lake Tahoe is the opportunity to give back—directly and intentionally—to the community we serve.
Thanks to the incredible support shown at our 52nd Annual Wine, Food & Beer Tasting, Peace, Love, and Vino, held on November 7, 2025, we are proud to return $35,000 to the South Shore through our 2026 Community Service Grants.
These grants are created with one goal in mind: to support nonprofit organizations whose work improves the lives of women and children in the South Shore Lake Tahoe community.
Who These Grants Are For
We know the organizations doing the most impactful work are often the ones operating with limited resources and big hearts. That’s why these grants are designed to support nonprofits that:
-
Serve women and/or children in meaningful ways
-
Create measurable, community-focused outcomes
-
Support underserved or under-resourced populations
-
Could benefit from additional funding to bring a specific project or program to life
While priority is given to South Shore–based organizations, groups located outside the area may apply if their project directly benefits women and children in the South Shore community.

Application Deadline
The deadline to apply is 5:00 PM on March 8, 2026. Once the deadline passes, the application portal will close and no late submissions can be accepted.
We encourage organizations to begin the application process early to allow time for thoughtful responses and budget preparation.
After the Grant Is Awarded
Organizations that receive funding will be asked to submit a brief written report at the conclusion of their project—or within one year of receiving funds, whichever comes first. This report helps us understand the impact of the grant and celebrate the important work being done in our community.
Reports will include:
-
A summary of project outcomes and goals achieved
-
A final accounting of how grant funds were used
